Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of office spaces, including desks, floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
• Handle custodial tasks including trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces to promote health and safety
• Utilize janitorial equipment effectively while adhering to safety protocols and proper maintenance procedures
• Assist with light facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention
• Support industrial cleaning efforts when necessary, including cleaning large areas or specialized equipment
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies inventory, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with standards

Experience

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and basic repair skills beneficial
• Prior porter experience or background in facilities support roles enhances suitability for this position
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail while following established procedures
• Strong understanding of safety guidelines related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use
• Training available onsite
