Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager and field teams in the day-to-day management of construction activities.
- Review and process submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders in coordination with contractors, designers, and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and meeting minutes.
- Track project progress, budgets, and schedules, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Coordinate and schedule project meetings, preparing agendas and documentation.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of construction documents and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Assist in preparing monthly progress reports and project closeout documentation.
- Perform cost and quantity tracking for progress payments and budget forecasts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors, designers, and public agencies, to resolve design and construction issues.
- Support the preparation and review of as-built drawings and project deliverables.
- Process contract change orders.
- Assist the Resident Engineer in review and processing of monthly progress payments.
- Spot check daily reports and certified payroll in the performance of basic labor compliance tasks.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in construction management or civil engineering projects (internship experience considered).
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus but not required
- EIT certification (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or Primavera).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, civil infrastructure systems, and contract documents.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Caltrans specifications and procedures (preferred for California projects).

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
