Office & Permit Assistant — Seasonal Part-Time Michigan Imagery LLC | Lansing, MI May–September | Mon–Thu or Mon–Wed, 9AM–4PM | $18–$22/hr DOE

Michigan Imagery is a sign fabrication and installation company based in Lansing. We design, build, and install signage for clients across Michigan — and we're looking for a reliable, organized assistant to help keep things moving behind the scenes this summer.

This is a temporary, part-time role. The goal is simple: take execution off our plate so we can focus on growing the business. If you're someone who likes checking things off a list, communicating clearly, and learning how things work, this could be a great fit.

What you'll be doing:

• Submitting and tracking sign permits across Michigan municipalities
• Following up on outstanding client quotes
• Logging and routing incoming customer inquiries
• Gathering and organizing COI and compliance paperwork
• Assisting with ADA signage orders
• General office and administrative support
• Making minor edits to client proofs in Adobe Illustrator

What we're looking for:

• Detail-oriented — accuracy matters in this role
• Organized and self-directed — you don't need to be managed to stay on task
• Comfortable emailing and making phone calls to municipalities and external contacts
• Clear communicator, written and verbal
• Comfortable learning new software and processes quickly, including AI tools like Claude
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator (required)
• Sign industry experience is a plus but not expected — we'll teach you what you need to know

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Experience:

• Office: 1 year (Preferred)
• Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)
