Why does the job exist?
Secretarial staff are responsible for receptionist duties at the front desk (answering phones, interacting with the public and looking up information in database). Secretarial staff are also responsible for data entry of law enforcement police reports into the system. Secretarial staff are responsible for file room, creating new files for clients and making sure files are merged when needed.
How does it get done?
This position will enter police reports received from law enforcement into the Family Automated Client Tracking System {FACTS) database. This position will also be responsible for sealing of youth records when necessary. This position willing enter court paperwork into FACTS within one business day of receipt including detention/warrant arraignments. Maintain calendars, schedules, and coordinate appointments, meetings, training. Support new employees with completing forms and enrolling in necessary trainings. Assist Chief JPO with the district budget, and other clerical duties.

Juvenile Probation Officers and Supervisors in District 3 as well as for youth and families that we serve.

Minimum Qualification
Eighth grade education.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting and consists of sitting for extended periods of time, extensive computer use, typing, lifting, bending and use of other office equipment including copy machines and fax machines. Some travel may be required.
