Position Overview
The Office Support Specialist plays a key role in keeping our small, family‑owned business running smoothly. This position supports daily operations through a blend of customer service, order processing, basic accounting tasks, clerical work, and general office upkeep. The ideal candidate is versatile, organized, and comfortable wearing many hats throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Interaction & Service
Greet and assist walk‑in customers with professionalism and a friendly attitude
Answer incoming phone calls, route inquiries, and provide product or order information
Support customers with order status updates, basic troubleshooting, and general questions
Order Entry & Pricing
Accurately enter customer orders into the system
Update pricing, product details, and customer information as needed
Assist with preparing quotes, invoices, and order confirmations
Accounting & Administrative Support
Provide support for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable tasks
Assist with invoicing, payment posting, and basic financial recordkeeping
Maintain organized digital and physical files, documents, and office records
General Clerical & Office Operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient office environment
Manage office supplies, restocking, and light inventory tasks
Support management with miscellaneous administrative projects
Facility & Light Upkeep
Assist with small tasks that help keep the business presentable, such as tidying common areas
Perform occasional light outdoor tasks (e.g., sweeping walkways, minor landscaping touch‑ups)
Qualifications
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
