Officer – Commercial

NCRi Solutions is looking for an Officer- Commercial for one of the biggest Conglomerate clients based in UAE who provides provides essential commercial support and administrative functions for ongoing projects. The primary objective is to expedite financial and procurement processes to ensure efficient, result-driven outcomes in coordination with the Commercial Manager and relevant departments.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in optimizing project completion efficiency by ensuring timely processing of financial instruments to enable on-time delivery of major equipment.
  • Support monthly revenue targets through diligent tracking and processing of commercial documentation.
  • Provide administrative assistance in the preparation of cash-flow forecasting and reporting.
  • Assist with cost loading activities and general commercial support.
  • Prepare internal documentation for L/C establishment and obtain necessary executive approvals.
  • Coordinate with finance teams to forward draft conditions to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage amendments, monitor expiry dates, and maintain a comprehensive L/C log.
  • Oversee the final closure of L/Cs, including draft confirmations with vendors.
  • Follow up on approved advance payment certificates for major equipment to ensure timely release.
  • Maintain monthly vendor outstanding payment logs and coordinate with finance to clear balances.
  • Identify and prioritize critical payments to prevent project execution delays.
  • Proactively identify and provide insights for improving existing business processes or products.

Communication & Relationships

  • Internal: Regularly interacts with Commercial Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Finance, Procurement, and Project Control departments.
  • External: Serves as a point of contact for OEMs, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding commercial documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Preferably a Degree in Commerce or a related field.
  • Experience: * Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction or turnkey projects.
  • Working knowledge of handling Letters of Credit, invoices, and both payable and receivable payments.
  • Experience with cash-flow calculations and reporting.
  • Technical Skills: * Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/SAP systems.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally).
  • Understanding of construction project scheduling and bills is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
