Officer, Innovation Hub Marketing and Social Media, Innovation Hub, Grant Position

Reports to: Senior Director, Innovation Hub

Purpose: AUC Innovation Hub is a platform for corporations, startups, AUC faculty and students, and the supporting ecosystem to work in the same space and collaborate to research and co-create innovative solutions for Egypt’s and the region’s toughest challenges. The holder of this position is responsible for developing and implementing the communications and social media marketing of the AUC Innovation Hub in alignment with the overall AUC communication guidelines.

Responsibilities:

● Co-develop, with the senior director, and implement a digital marketing and communication strategy in alignment with AUC communication guidelines and the Innovation Hub's strategic goals

● Develop and edit newsletters, email campaigns and blog articles

● Prepare briefs for different partners that support AUC Innovation Hub activities

● Respond to inquiries with regards to Innovation Hub activities, events and offerings, online and offline, as well handling partners’ service and AUC graduate’s relations

● Source visuals, photography and videography for Innovation Hub’s needs

● Maintain Innovation Hub communication guidelines and their enforcement with stakeholders

● Run and manage full-fledged campaigns across social media platforms

● Launch and manage Innovation Hub’s social media accounts

● Expand audience across social media channels

● Design, record, write and edit content tailored for each platform

● Report biannually on digital presence, social media performance and provide recommendations

● Monitor and analyze latest social media trends and make recommendations for utilization

● Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in communication, media, business, marketing, or other relevant educational scope

● Master’s degree is an asset

Experience:

● Minimum of seven years, including three to four years in a relevant field

● Qualification in, or significant experience using, social media methodologies is preferred

● Good familiarity with AI and ChatGPT tools

Skills:

● Excellent Arabic and English, written and verbal

● Excellent knowledge of social media

● Knowledge of emerging research approaches, tools, and ways to present findings

● Excellent facilitation skills

● Technologically savvy

● High emotional intelligence, empathy and patience

● Strong communication and public speaking skills

● Excellent creative, analytical and ideation skills

● Strong critical thinking and creative skills with a passion for ambiguity and complex problem solving and translating vague information into tangible results

● A passion for innovation, design and technology

● Team -player

● Multi-tasking
