Job Purpose:
The Officer – Loan Review supports the review and assessment of loan portfolios and ensures adherence to established policies and procedures. He/She assists in reviewing loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. The Officer – Loan Review supports the monitoring of loan classifications, maintains accurate loan review records, and highlights potential risks. He/She contributes to the preparation of reports and communicates observations to support effective loan review processes.
Key Accountabilities:

Reviews loan documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved policies and procedures.

Identifies documentation gaps, inconsistencies, and potential risks and escalates findings to the concerned stakeholders.

Supports the monitoring of loan classification and declassification in line with regulatory guidelines and internal frameworks.

Assists in maintaining accurate and up-to-date loan review records, reports, and documentation.

Coordinates with relevant departments to obtain required information and to support timely completion of loan reviews.

Follows established procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance in loan review activities.

Supports the implementation of improvements in loan review processes based on identified observations.

Maintains awareness of applicable regulations, policies, and lending standards to support compliant practices.

Stays current on the latest lending regulations and changes to loan process policies.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Banking & Finance or Accounting.

Fresh graduate with 0 years of experience, registered as unemployed and have no registered work history.

Demonstrates basic understanding of lending principles and loan documentation.

Shows awareness of local central bank regulations related to lending.

Understands basic concepts of Credit Risk Management and Loan Review processes.

Exhibits basic awareness of IFRS 9 and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) concepts.
