Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oil and Gas Business Development Manager to lead new business growth across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors in Oman. The successful candidate will identify and pursue high‑value opportunities, build strong relationships with NOCs, IOCs, and service companies, and drive revenue through strategic account management, tenders, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in the Oman oil and gas market (upstream, midstream, downstream, and energy services).
- Prospect and engage with key decision‑makers in national oil companies, international operators, contractors, and JV partners across Oman.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand customer needs, industry trends, and emerging opportunities in the Sultanate.
- Lead full‑cycle proposal development, including tender responses, technical‑commercial offers, cost models, and presentations tailored to oil‑and‑gas clients.
- Negotiate and close contracts, framework agreements, and service deals, ensuring alignment with company strategy and profitability targets.
- Collaborate with technical, operations, and HSE teams to shape winning solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Manage and grow a pipeline of opportunities in CRM systems, track progress, and report regularly on sales forecasts, conversion rates, and target achievement.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions in Oman and the GCC to build brand visibility and generate leads.
- Support the implementation of the regional business plan and contribute to long‑term market‑entry and expansion strategies in Oman’s energy sector.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Energy, or related field; MBA is a strong advantage.
- 6–10+ years’ experience in oil and gas or energy business development, sales, or commercial roles, preferably with exposure to Oman or GCC markets.
- Proven track record in hitting sales targets and closing deals in EPC, services, drilling, logistics, or energy‑support sectors.
- Familiarity with Oman’s oil and gas landscape, including PDO, ORPIC, OQ, and relevant regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of tender processes, commercial contracts, and risk/ pricing models in complex projects.
- Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Office for proposals, forecasts, and reporting.
- Excellent English communication and negotiation skills; Arabic is a strong advantage for Oman‑based roles.
