We are a leading provider of heating and fuel solutions, specialising in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fuel tanks, and heating systems for both domestic and commercial clients. With a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service, we are now looking for a highly skilled and experienced Oil tank Installation Engineer to lead and execute our industrial, commercial and domestic heating and fuel system projects.
The Role
This is a senior, hands-on role focused on the successful planning, delivery, and commissioning of industrial and commercial heating and fuel system projects.
You will carry out and oversee tank-related works from start to finish, help coordinate site teams when required, and make sure all jobs are completed safely, correctly and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oil storage and supply installation to OFTEC , building, fire risk, Environmental and other industry regulations.
- Tank instalation, tank inspection and maintenance, tank cleaning and decommissioning.
- Execute end-to-end project delivery, from initial technical site assessment and scoping through to job execution, final commissioning and handover.
- Help to design, plan, and execute installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of industrial/commercial heating systems and associated fuel/water storage tanks and boilers.
- Lead on-site installation teams and contractors, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
- Lead technical site assessments and scoping for new projects.
- Provide expert technical diagnosis and solutions for industrial, commercial and domestic heating systems.
- Accurately complete job documentation and reports, liaising with the office team when required.
- Follow all on-site health & safety requirements and company procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard.
Requirements
- Advantageous if hold all current, relevant industrial and commercial heating qualifications (e.g., Oil heating, Commercial, OFTEC 101/105E/600A).
- Proven ability to run jobs as a lead engineer without support and manage complex tasks autonomously.
- Expert-level hands-on engineering and fault-finding skills in heating and fuel systems.
- Strong technical and project management skills, including the ability to plan work.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness and understanding of project profitability.
- Good working knowledge of oil storage systems and installation processes.
- Full UK driving license (mandatory).
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, particularly with commercial clients.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Electrical experience desirable, particularly with basic electrical connections, safe isolation, tank alarms, gauges, pumps, control panels and associated equipment. Electricians qualifications advantageous
- Good health and safety awareness is essential
