Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated, physically active, dog-loving individual with strong communication skills and a positive presence. This is a full-time, in-person position that requires bilingual fluency (English & Spanish), high levels of empathy, and a true passion for animals.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

8:00 AM to 6:30 PM (with an unpaid 2-hour break at noon)

Daily Responsibilities Include:

• Morning Routine (starting at 8 AM):
• Walk each boarding dog individually for 10 minutes.
• Clean and sanitize kennels from the previous night.
• Feed dogs one by one, and monitor their eating to ensure all meals are consumed.
• Remove and clean plates in feeding order.
• Playground Supervision:
• Rotate dogs into the playground throughout the day, ensuring equal time for play, belly rubs, and rest.
• Monitor dog behavior, break up altercations safely, and separate dogs as needed.
• Take and send a 30-second walk video per dog per walk to pet parents as proof of care.
• Capture high-quality videos and pictures of dogs playing and relaxing for social sharing.
• Walk Schedule:
• Three 10-minute individual walks per day per dog (morning, mid-day, evening).
• Cleaning & Facility Maintenance:
• Clean any pee, poop, or vomit immediately.
• Sweep and mop floors each evening to ensure the facility is spotless.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness throughout the day.
• Customer Interaction:
• Greet and assist clients during drop-offs and pick-ups.
• Represent Howl Nation with professionalism, warmth, and reliability.
• On-Demand Offsite Walks:
• Occasionally, you may be asked to perform local dog walks within a 7-mile radius using your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed).

What We’re Looking For:

• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
• High school diploma required, some college preferred
• Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor walks, cleaning, and dog handling
• Friendly, reliable, and eager to learn and grow
• Strong communication skills
• Passionate about dogs, with patience, empathy, and compassion
• Must be responsible, observant, and committed to safety for all animals and humans in the facility
• Willing to treat this opportunity as a paid internship during the first few months

Compensation & Growth Opportunity:

• Hourly Pay: $11–$14/hour
• Breaks: 2-hour unpaid break with access to on-site amenities
• Mileage: Reimbursed at the end of each half-month for offsite walks
• No PTO initially (hourly structure)
• After 2 months: Possible raise and improved employment terms based on performance
• Commission Option:
• If daycare revenue exceeds your hourly wage in a given month, you may opt to earn based on that revenue (capped at $4,000/month).
• Referral program: Earn commissions on the first invoice of any new client you bring in.
