Performs a variety of heavy, routine and skilled cleaning plus maintenance task of facilities property. Maintains the clean and orderly appearance of the facility. Must be willing to work as a team player in order to provide consistent quality care for patients/residents.
Responsibilities:

Cleans assigned areas appropriately, safely and in a timely manner.

Responsible for the monitoring of the facility’s wastes.

Operates mechanical floor cleaners, polishers and vacuums.
-
Shampoos rugs, carpets and furniture.
-
Cleans vents, fans and other elevated areas, using a ladder.
-
Washes wheelchairs and other medical equipment.
-
Moves furniture and other heavy objects as required.
-
Buffs, strips, waxes and polishes floors.
-
Performs terminal cleaning procedures of resident rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants.

Demonstrates knowledge of the cleaning elements used while working, and the technical requirements of the assignment.

Demonstrates knowledge in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC.

Responsible for complying with facility and departmental policies and procedures.

Completes all work orders in a timely manner.

Adheres to payroll policies and properly uses timekeeping system with minimal manual changes.

Maintains regular and consistent attendance.
-
Adheres to Compliance Plan and HIPAA regulations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate or equivalent.
-
Minimum 2 years experience in a hospital setting or large commercial facility as a maintenance worker.

Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.

Excellent manual dexterity and coordination skills.
