On Call Registered Nurse (Hospice)

Billet Health is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Hospice On-Call / Per Diem team. This role is ideal for nurses who value flexibility, clinical autonomy, and delivering truly patient-centered end-of-life care.

About the Role

Our hospice nurses provide skilled, compassionate care to geriatric patients in their homes or residential facilities. As a Hospice RN, you will assess patient needs, collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing, and help develop and carry out individualized plans of care throughout the hospice episode.

This position offers true schedule flexibility. As patients are admitted to service, our staffing team will contact you with available visits. You may accept visits based on your availability and preferences. Nurses may complete Admissions, recertifications, and ongoing patient visits, and you may continue following patients you choose to keep on your caseload.

Whether you prefer a higher-volume schedule or only a few visits per week, you set the pace. Visit times are arranged directly between you and the patient—never assigned. Typical visits last 45–60 minutes.

On-Call Availability

• Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 8:30 AM
• Monday 5:30 PM through Thursday 8:30 AM

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance
• CPR or BLS Certification
• AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (Arizona applicants only)
• TB Test (skin test within the last year or chest x-ray within the last five years)
• Physical / Medical Clearance (California applicants only)

Additional Details

• Care is provided in the patient’s home or residential facility
• Additional compensation may be offered for patients outside your territory on a case-by-case basis
