Job Summary:
The Benefits Administrator will work predominately at our site in Morgan, Utah, but have the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule. The Benefits Administrator will be responsible for independently managing all aspects of benefits operations, as well as supporting staff in a general HR capacity. This role will work directly with our broker, WCF, and the State of Utah. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and exceptionally organized. Experience in a hospitality-type atmosphere is desired.

Job Duties:
  • Manages employee lifecycle changes as they relate to benefits (new hires, terminations, leave of absence, status changes).
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations are adhered to, including reporting requirements.
  • Serves as a point of contact for benefit inquiries, questions, issues, and general administrative support.
  • Administers benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, 401k, COBRA, HSA/FSA, and disability plans.
  • Administers and tracks FMLA, ADA, and other leaves and compliance as required by law.
  • Oversees workers' compensation claims and works with our workers' compensation provider, WCF.
  • Supports with interviews and onboarding during peak periods.
  • Maintains current knowledge of benefit regulations and reporting.
  • Acts as a liaison between staff and the Director of Human Resources.
  • Offers general assistance and support to the HR team.
  • Collaborates with other departments as needed.
  • Performs other administrative and employee culture duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years in a benefit administrative role.
  • Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as they relate to benefits and reporting.
  • Experience tracking and administering employee leave programs (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, and ability to learn and train others on complicated software programs.
  • Must pass an annual background check.
  • Possess a calm professional demeanor, and the utmost discretion.
  • Prior HR experience required.
  • Must be able to work at our site in Morgan, Utah.
  • Experience implementing software helpful, but not required.
Work Environment:
  • 4 days on site is required. Hours will be somewhat flexible, but the core hours are 9am - 3pm to accommodate business partners (brokerage firm, WCF, State of Utah, Unemployment Office). The candidate must prove they can work independently and meet deadlines prior to a hybrid environment if offered (1 day remote/work from home).
  • Sundays are not required, but may be needed on occasion for emergencies or peak periods (pre and post winter/summer season).
  • Our property is under construction until 2032, you must be able to work in a variety of office spaces, and be flexible with location and atmosphere.
  • Offices are located around the mountain and shift as needed due to construction and development. Permanent offices are slated for 2028 - 2029.
