Position Overview
The Onboard Programs Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the coordination, execution and optimization of onboard programs that support our onboard sales operations with our cruise line partners. This position oversees a diverse portfolio of projects and initiatives that span operations, staffing, onboarding, marketing support and leadership resource management. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, demonstrating both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities

Program and project management
- Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent projects and operational initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, alignment with business goals and consistency to support the sales operation
- Operational oversight
- Maintain and continuously improve organizational tools, systems and processes that support onboard corporate operations and sales, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and compliance
- Reporting and analytics
- Manage, maintain and interpret operational reports and performance metrics to inform operational and sales leadership decision making while identifying opportunities for efficiency improvement
- Cross functional collaboration
- Serve as key liaison between operations, HR, marketing and operational and sales leadership teams to align priorities, communicate updates and ensure seamless execution across functions
- Leadership resource management
- Support the coordination and management of leadership resources, schedules, onboard ship visit travel planning and internal communication tools to enhance efficiency and accessibly
- Onboarding crew coordination
- Oversee onboarding workflows, training coordination and staffing milestone touchpoints, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience for new and returning team members
- Process and SOP management
- Evaluate, refine and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to promote consistency, scalability and clarity across departments to support the onboard sales operation
- Marketing and onboard support
- Collaborate with internal and external marketing and onboard teams to manage operational assets, support promotional initiatives and uphold brand standards in all onboard materials
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

3+ years of experience in operations, program management, or project coordination, ideally in a complex, fast-paced environment

Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, SharePoint and Smartsheet plus similar programs and has a strong ability to navigate various computer programs and internal systems

Proven ability to work autonomously, make informed decisions and manage shifting priorities with minimal supervision

Professional verbal and written communication and relationship management skills across all organizational levels

Demonstrated experience developing and managing reports, metrics and process documentation

Exceptional organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

Ability to troubleshoot common issues, offer effective recommendations and manage escalations professionally

Ability to work with urgency to deliver tasks and reports on time, ensuring operational success
