ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Create and implement a project plan to transition all current District employees to the Clearinghouse in compliance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.
Identify appropriate level of background screening required for each position.
Perform fingerprinting for current and new employees requiring background screening in accordance with applicable state and federal standards.
Submit fingerprints to the appropriate databases or clearinghouses for background checks or other security purposes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fingerprint submissions, including tracking the status of background checks and clearances.
Serve as primary point of contact and subject matter expert for employees, new hires, and third-party vendors.
Monitor and review Clearinghouse results to independently research, investigate, and gather additional information needed to make eligibility determinations, escalating unusual or complex situations.
Provide support to internal partners by delivering timely updates on the status of fingerprint-based background checks.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Clearinghouse and third-party vendors.
Prepare and submit reports as required by regulatory bodies or internal management.
Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and technology related to background checks, clearances, and the Clearinghouse.
Assist with all other new hire onboarding such as new employee orientation, completion of employment and compliance forms, employment references.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Compensation may increase based upon relevant education and experience.
