The Oncology Care Navigator Program Lead (OCNPL) is responsible for proactively developing and evolving the Oncology Care Navigator program. This includes leading the Care Navigator team to support the patient journey and enhance the patient experience through patient-based initiatives such as virtual education.

This role reports to the National Program Director (NPD) to drive strategic direction in collaboration with the client and program lead. The Program Lead supports the NPD by offering critical insights that enable effective program delivery and ongoing optimization. This includes active participation in meetings with both the client and the NPD to ensure alignment and strategic execution.

Key Job Responsibilities
(Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following)

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations of assigned programs, ensuring compliance with customer and Syneos Health standards.
  • Maintain strong understanding of all technology components of the program, ensuring the team is trained and competent in using relevant platforms.

Team Supervision

  • Directly supervise Care Navigator Managers, providing feedback and coaching to elevate performance.
  • Monitor team achievement, goals, and business plans in alignment with the national program strategy.

Program Delivery

  • Ensure successful delivery of program goals and assignments while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Deliver on all program KPIs and SLAs.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with J&J partners and vendors to compliantly advance program outcomes.
  • Maintain consistent and effective communication with functional leaders and partners.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track program deliverables against the Statement of Work (SOW) and delivery dates, ensuring all standard deliverables are met.
  • Manage program governance, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and program budgets.

Risk Mitigation

  • Proactively identify and address potential risks to program success, escalating issues as needed.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree required; Master’s degree in a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical experience
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, preferably managing national-level nurse teams
  • Proven strategic planning and analytical experience
  • Documented problem-solving skills, proactive approach, and program curiosity
  • 2+ years of telephonic/virtual oversight experience with strong technical skills preferred
  • Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, especially in project planning, implementation, and cross-functional team management
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
