who are we?

we are Yo!, a recently launched startup from Brazil. we want to revolutionize how English communication is spread online by creating a safe environment where tutors and learners can be themselves - no strict lesson flows, no lesson plans, just REAL FUN!

we are ideally looking for someone who:

• can speak English fluently and confidently (no certificates required, but having one is certainly an advantage)
• is very eager to help and assist learners improve their skills and cater to their needs
• is creative, open-minded, and has exceptional communication skills
• has a high speed and stable internet connection, and suitable equipment (laptop, good quality audio and video), as well as a quiet working environment at home
• has previous experience that required the use of English daily, such as an English tutor, a customer service professional, or any other work experience in the international hospitality field (nice to have, but not essential)
• is available for sessions at least 6 hours a day (preferably but not mandatory, during these peak times: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM Turkey time
• is at least 18 years old

what are Yo! sessions like?

• informal, relaxed, and fun - you don’t have to follow a script; you just have to be you!
• freestyle convos, sessions oriented towards the learner’s needs, or with materials from our online library (or your own stuff)
• 25 and 50 minutes long
