Role Summary:


The Online Merchandising Officer would be responsible for enhancing the digital presentation and performance of our product offerings, which include premium floral arrangements and unique gifts, across our international platform. This central role involves optimizing online experience, managing product visibility, and utilizing analytics to drive decisions that enhance customer satisfaction and sales across nine countries.


Key Responsibilities:


Site Navigation and Search Optimization

  • Regularly audit and review category mapping to facilitate easy product finding by customers.
  • Ensure that the search functionality of the website is set up and functioning effectively.
  • Optimize product and category pages for SEO and regularly review and update product rankings to enhance visibility.

Performance Analysis and Merchandise Management

  • Generate and analyze daily reports to track key metrics such as conversions, bounce rates, and average order value (AOV).
  • Monitor and analyze the Algolia customer experience on the website using online tools, making suggestions to optimize conversion rates.
  • Use Google Analytics and other tools to interpret findings and generate detailed reports to guide merchandising decisions.

Pricing and Promotions

  • Implement and monitor mark down sand promotions across the online store, ensuring accurate and consistent price display.
  • Coordinate promotional updates across all platforms, ensuring they align with stock levels and market trends.

Trend and Market Analysis

  • Keep abreast of the latest trends in online shopping and digital marketing through regular market research.
  • Analyze competitors' activities to understand market dynamics and adjust strategies accordingly.

Content and Asset Updates

  • Update and manage digital assets such as banners ,promotions, special occasions, and category icons.
  • Manage the introduction and presentation of new brand arrivals, ensuring they are effectively integrated and promoted on the platform.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Liaise with country managers and category officers across nine countries to ensure daily product tagging and status updates are accurate.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, technology, and marketing, to launch new projects and initiatives.


Key Expertise and Competencies:


Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in online merchandising, particularly in an international or multi- regional e-commerce environment.
  • Proven track record of effective product management and performance optimization in an online setting.


Functional Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in SEO practices, data analysis, and e-commerce technologies.
  • Experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Algolia.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects across diverse geographical locations.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to parse complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Superior communication skills with proficiency in coordinating with multi-cultural teams.
