Onsite & Remote Level 1 Desktop Support Consultant (Independent Contractor) – San Antonio, TX

Job Title: Level 1 Desktop & Help Desk Support (1099 Contractor)

Location: San Antonio, TX (local travel required)

We’re seeking a reliable, customer‑focused Level 1 Desktop/Help Desk Support contractor in the San Antonio area. This is a flexible 1099 role averaging 40–60 hours per month, primarily during standard weekday business hours. Ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on support, solving everyday user issues, and working independently across multiple small office locations.

What You’ll Do

You’ll provide a mix of onsite desktop support and remote help desk assistance for approximately 40 small office locations (5–6 users each) across the San Antonio metro area. Most environments are straightforward, with simple network setups and standard Windows workstations.

Onsite Support Responsibilities

• Set up and configure Windows 11 desktops and laptops
• Install and update basic hardware and software
• Troubleshoot workstation, printer, and peripheral issues
• Resolve common network connectivity problems
• Assist with new‑hire workstation setup
• Perform routine maintenance and address recurring user issues

Remote Help Desk Responsibilities

• Provide remote troubleshooting for everyday user problems
• Support Microsoft Office and common business applications
• Assist with login, password, and configuration issues
• Perform basic remote diagnostics and apply quick fixes
• Update tickets and maintain clear documentation

This role requires travel between multiple San Antonio area offices. All sites have simple, flat networks and small user counts.
