Technical Cranes Ltd are one of the UK’s leading new and used crane manufacturers, specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of crane systems and supporting structures.

We are a well-respected company within our industry, working with a wide variety of clients across the UK and overseas. Our customers range from small independent businesses to some of the UK’s largest construction companies.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Onsite Steel Erector / Welder to join our installation team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in the installation and erection of structural steelwork, crane systems, and supporting structures on customer sites. Work will include projects local to Rotherham as well as nationwide installations across the UK, with regular overnight stays required.

Key Responsibilities

• Erecting structural steelwork and crane support structures safely and efficiently
• Assisting with the installation of overhead crane systems
• Working from technical drawings and site instructions
• Using access equipment and working at height
• Carrying out onsite fitting and associated duties
• Ensuring all work is completed to health & safety standards
• Working as part of a skilled onsite installation team
• Travelling to customer sites throughout the UK

Requirements

• Previous experience in steel erection or structural steel installation
• CSCS card essential
• IPAF and/or PASMA advantageous
• Welding experience advantageous
• Experience working at height
• Ability to read engineering drawings preferred
• Full UK driving licence essential
• Positive attitude and willingness to work away from home when required
• Good teamwork and communication skills
