- Register OPD patients accurately in HIS/Manual register.
- Verify patient details, documents, and referral slips.
- Guide patients regarding consultation sequence and waiting time.
- Maintain OPD appointment schedules and walk-in management.
- Coordinate with consultants for OPD consultation.
- Track patient movement from registration to consultation.
- Ensure complete ownership of OPD patients till discharge or admission.
- Facilitate IPD admission process when advised by doctor (bed allocation, admission file, coordination with billing and nursing).
- Generate OPD bills and ensure correct charging.
- Collect payments and hand over receipts.
- Ensure completion of consent forms and required documents.
- Maintain daily OPD census and records.
- Provide courteous and empathetic service to patients and attendants.
- Address patient queries and complaints politely.
- Escalate issues to Administration when required.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Billing, Diagnostics, and Housekeeping.
- Maintain daily OPD statistics and submit reports.
- Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and NABH standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Ensure accurate documentation as per NABH guidelines.
Qualification & Experience
- Education: Graduate / Diploma in Hospital Administration (preferred)
- Experience: 2–3 years in hospital OPD / Front Office
- Computer Skills: MS Office
