Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical nursing and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest standards of care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring safety and comfort before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment.
- Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-operative care planning.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in an Operating Room setting is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient assessment and education.
