Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) – 13 Week Contract

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week contract assignment supporting a hospital-based surgical services department. This role is ideal for OR nurses with strong intraoperative experience who are comfortable working in fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across the perioperative continuum, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
• Prepare and maintain the operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers by anticipating procedural needs
• Enforce sterile technique and infection prevention protocols
• Accurately document surgical procedures and patient care
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary surgical team to ensure safe and efficient operations

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
• Experience with robotic surgery and orthopedic and/or neurosurgical cases
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
• Ability to remain focused and effective in high-pressure surgical settings

Required / Preferred Certifications

• BLS (AHA required)
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• BSN preferred

Contract Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3×12-hour day shifts (36 hours per week)
• Employment Type: Contract (not a permanent full-time role)
• Travel nurses welcome – travel stipends available for qualified candidates
