1. Role Summary
The CDMO Manager will oversee contract development and manufacturing operations for cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical products. The role involves identifying and managing external contract manufacturing partners, leading formulation development & technology transfer, ensuring compliance with industry-specific standards, and coordinating timely production and delivery.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Contract Manufacturing & Vendor Management
- Identify, audit, and onboard CMOs/third-party manufacturers for cosmetics, pharma, and nutraceutical products.
- Negotiate commercial terms, manufacturing agreements, quality standards, and SLAs.
- Maintain strong relationships with external partners to ensure seamless operations.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews (quality, cost, delivery).
B. Product Development & Technology Transfer
- Coordinate formulation development for skincare, personal care, OTC products, tablets, capsules, syrups, powders, gummies, etc.
- Lead technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing partners.
- Review/revise batch manufacturing records (BMR), SOPs, and process documents.
- Support scale-up, pilot batches, stability batches, and validation.
C. Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- Cosmetics: BIS guidelines, FDA (India), GMP for cosmetics.
- Pharma: GMP/cGMP, WHO, Schedule M, regulatory filings.
- Nutraceuticals: FSSAI norms, labelling and safety standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for batch release, documentation, audits, CAPA, and deviation closures.
- Monitor product quality, consistency, and compliance across all partners.
D. Production & Supply Chain Coordination
- Plan and monitor production with all contract manufacturing units.
- Ensure availability of RM/PM, packing materials, and artwork approvals.
- Track batch status, WIP, yields, and dispatch timelines.
- Resolve production bottlenecks to ensure on-time delivery.
E. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D, QA, QC, SCM, Regulatory, Marketing, and Finance teams.
- Provide updates on project timelines and manufacturing readiness.
- Support new product launches and ensure successful market rollouts.
3. Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of cosmetics, pharma, and nutraceutical manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks: FSSAI, GMP/cGMP, WHO, Cosmetic Rules.
- Vendor management, negotiation & cost optimization skills.
- Excellent project management & documentation capability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple contract partners simultaneously.
4. Qualifications & Experience
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Tech Chemical / MSc Chemistry / Cosmetic Science / Food Technology.
- 5–12 years of experience in CDMO / third-party manufacturing / technical operations.
- Experience across Cosmetics, Pharma, Nutraceuticals (any two or all three preferred).
- Hands-on involvement in tech transfer, scale-up, audits, and regulatory compliance.

Pay: ₹80,465.65 - ₹100,000.00 per month
