- Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the salt manufacturing unit.
- Manage office infrastructure, facilities, housekeeping, and security for smooth functioning.
- Ensure uninterrupted utilities (water, electricity, diesel generators, etc.) for plant operations.
Workforce & Labor Management
- Supervise timekeeping, attendance, shift planning, and labor deployment.
- Coordinate with contract labor agencies and ensure timely payments and records.
- Resolve labor grievances and maintain harmonious industrial relations.
Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, salary, statutory compliance, insurance, and other admin-related files.
- Ensure proper documentation for licenses, permits, and factory compliance.
Compliance & Statutory Management
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, Factory Act, ESI, PF, Pollution Control Board norms, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with legal and audit teams for inspections and documentation.
Logistics & Transport Support
- Arrange and manage company transport for raw materials, finished goods, and employee commuting.
- Coordinate with transporters and dispatch teams for smooth logistics.
Health, Safety & Security
- Implement and monitor safety practices across the factory.
- Organize periodic fire drills, safety training, and ensure use of PPE by all workers.
- Supervise the security team to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
Facility & Asset Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance and servicing of administrative infrastructure, buildings, office equipment, and utilities.
- Raise procurement requests for admin supplies, safety gear, and materials.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on admin activities, workforce, and compliance.
- Liaise with production, HR, finance, and external authorities as required.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, HR, or related field.
- 8–12+ years of experience in plant administration (salt, chemical, manufacturing).
- Strong understanding of labor laws, statutory compliance, and factory administration.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with rural/remote plant management challenges (e.g., water scarcity, high salinity areas).
