Job Description


Sourcing & Selection:
Identify and qualify subcontractors for goods and services based on project requirements.

RFQ & Bid Evaluation: Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), analyze bids, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.

Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve best value for the organization.

Contract Management: Draft, review, and administer subcontracts ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations

Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, monitor performance, and resolve disputes or delivery issues.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and company standards throughout the procurement process.

Documentation: Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and correspondence.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Planning, OFT, finance, and legal teams to align procurement activities with project goals.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to subcontractor performance and delivery schedules.

Support operation team in push and pull of material,

PO management: Converting Subcontract PR to PO,

Support safe workplace cultures and compliance with Smiths EH&S

Key Accountabilities

Create and maintain source list and PIR per GPN

Pull forward request, original supplier promise is later than our request,

Consignment & Vendor Managed Inventory stock negotiations,

Lead time negotiation for external bought out parts,

Contract creation, maintenance, governance and monitoring in the ERP System,

Local supplier NC handling and managing debit notes.

MRBR review and actioning


Qualifications


Minimum 5 +years of overall experience in manufacturing environment, 1 years in supply chain/ Purchase role

Experience in procuring/sourcing from our industries would be advantageous

Experience in handling import items and customs knowledge will be preferred.

Knowledge of SAP will be preferred.

Knowledge of Inco terms

Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering

Vendor delivery performance

Manage Vendor master data (create, unblock and maintain)

Lead time reduction

Manage Exception messages

Past Dues Manage

PPV savings

% On Time Delivery to Request

% On Time Delivery to Promise

Support Machining Category Manager
