Our client, a business conglomerate in Qatar is recruiting health care staff for their state-of-the-art cardiac center with a capacity of 89 beds in Libya.

Job Description: Operation Room Nurse (CN2)

Location: Misrata, Libya

Salary : $2,500-$3,000 ( QAR 9,100.00QAR 10,920.00 ( 10 -12% Tax will be deducted )

Joining Flight Ticket: Provided by Company

Accommodation and Transportation : Provided by company

Annual Vacation : 30 days paid vacation with round trip flight ticket.

Job Summary

The OR Nurse (CN2) provides specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, with a strong focus on cardiovascular surgery. This role involves preparing the operating room, assisting surgeons intraoperatively, ensuring sterile techniques, and providing safe patient care before, during, and after surgical interventions.

Key ResponsibilitiesPreoperative & Intraoperative Care

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for procedures. Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and general surgical procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control practices. Handle surgical instruments, sponges, sutures, and other supplies accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor patient condition, anesthesia status, and vital signs throughout surgery

Postoperative Care & Patient Safety

• Provide immediate postoperative care including wound management and patient stabilization.
• Identify and manage complications such as bleeding, arrhythmias, or adverse anesthesia reactions.
• Document surgical interventions, nursing care, and patient outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families on postoperative recovery and care instructions.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and surgical teams.
• Participate in surgical time-outs, patient safety checks, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support surgical teams in complex cardiovascular procedures and emergencies.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, surgical instrumentation, and cardiovascular procedures.

Proficiency in maintaining sterile fields and handling surgical supplies.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications preferred.

Ability to respond to intraoperative emergencies calmly and effectively.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems (SAP or equivalent preferred).

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of total nursing experience.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in cardiovascular surgery.
• Prior experience in GCC or international tertiary hospitals (preferred).

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (accepted)
