Operation Team Leader - Ecommerce

The Operation Team Leader (Ecommerce) responsible of managing a shift covering all aspects of order fulfillment, which includes Picking, Marshalling and Dispatch. He / She should drive the team to increase the efficiency and work towards the organizational goals. Shift Supervisor is responsible for creating shift plans and conducting shift briefs with the team communicating operational performances of the previous day. He / She is responsible for shift specific activities. Shift supervisor is responsible for smooth handover between other shifts.

Role Details:

  • Manage the day-to-day e-commerce operations covering all aspects of order fulfilment.
  • Lead picking and handover to last mile supervisor to ensure all activities are performed effectively and seamlessly.
  • Ensure proper arrangement of dark store and stock adequacy.
  • Understand, evaluate and problem solve for logistics, operations and other system process hurdles.
  • Manage customer service function with in the store.
  • Ensure measures are taken to handover goods on-time as per schedule defined by last mile department.
  • Proper packing of goods inside delivery crates to avoid damages for customer.
  • Adequate actions taken to maintain the cold chain of goods inside the operation and proper segregation of goods in delivery crate.
  • Accuracy of the delivery quantities with implementation of QC audit as per defined control by loss prevention.
  • Guarantee a clean and organized fulfilment area.
  • Ensure to deliver goods to end customers in order to enhance best unified customer experience for the country at the lowest cost and keeping in view the best safety and hygiene standards.
  • Accountable for enrolling all drivers in system, cancelling orders, checking all pending orders, availability of delivery vehicles, re-allocation of resources depending on operations demand.
  • Ensure that the logistics services providers & suppliers upload accurate information & documents in the Transport Delivery System.
  • Undertake planning of last mile resources on a daily basis for the upcoming events. This includes re - allocation of the resources in accordance with the business needs.
  • Manage and track both home deliveries and returns to/from stores/DC/suppliers.
  • Ensure that all cash handling during the last mile operations are as per company’s defined guidelines and procedures.
  • Last mile route development to ensure effective on time delivery
  • Ensure the implementation of the performance management process.
  • Provide mentorship for the purpose of developing a continuous talent pipeline for key roles.
  • Liaise with the HC department to ensure facilitation of training requirements
  • Oversee the development and implementation of on the job-training.
  • Provide inputs while developing MAF Retail’s corporate policies and relevant procedures, and monitor the implementation.
  • Monitor attendance, disciplinary actions as well as performance measure

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor’s degree in E- Commerce or Business Administration

Minimum experience

  • 3 to 5 years of professional work experience working in logistics and supply chain
  • E-commerce Fulfillment and Last Mile Experience is a plus
  • Commercial knowledge preferred
