An Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) promotes workplace well-being by managing employee health, preventing injuries, and ensuring safety compliance, involving tasks like first aid, health screenings, risk assessments, safety training, policy development (e.g., OSHA), and managing fitness-for-duty evaluations, all to create a healthier, safer environment and reduce company liability. They bridge healthcare and workplace safety, working directly with employees, management, and adhering to health regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Care & Treatment: Administering first aid, emergency care, immunizations, and managing minor illnesses/injuries, deciding when further care (like a hospital visit) is needed.
  • Health Promotion: Developing and leading health programs, wellness initiatives, health counseling, and physical fitness programs.
  • Safety & Risk Management: Identifying workplace hazards (noise, air quality), inspecting worksites, investigating accidents, and ensuring compliance with health/safety laws (like OSHA).
  • Education & Training: Training employees and supervisors on safety protocols, injury prevention, and healthy work habits.
  • Policy & Documentation: Creating health policies, maintaining employee health records, and supporting workers' compensation case management.
  • Fitness for Duty: Evaluating employee fitness for specific job tasks after illness or injury.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
