Summary
Review, verify and process incoming insurance related documentation. Job tasks provide support to all areas of Insurance Operations.
Responsibilities
- Process and deliver correspondence to intended party for Claims and Underwriting
- Index documents received electronically and scanned documents
- Utilize existing unit and company policies and procedures to complete all assigned functions correctly and efficiently within stated deadlines
- Process Merit Rating Board Hearing Lists and Claim print requests
- Process various data entry functions and clerical support
- Verify accuracy of independent vendor bills in preparation for payment by Accounts Payable
- Print and mail letters, brochures, certified mail, agency mail, Partner Select forms, manual checks and transcribe various recordings of interviews, E-letters, memos, reports, and form letters
- Process Auto Injury Solutions No Match/Exception reports/letters and update the medical bill log
- Respond quickly and independently to lobby visitor concerns
Skills and Abilities
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Must have strong PC skills for recordkeeping and research and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to interact well with others in a team environment
- Working knowledge of several types of office equipment i.e.: scanners, photocopiers and the ability to use external vendors file online tools
- Knowledge of automated inventory systems, alphanumeric cataloging and basic purchase order creation preferred
- Basic math skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service position helpful

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
