Operations & Administrative Coordinator

The Opportunity

We are looking for a versatile, detail-oriented professional to serve as the "operational glue" of our company. This role is a unique 60/40 split between Technical Production and High-Level Administration.

You will succeed another long-tenured team member, taking over a diverse portfolio that keeps our company running smoothly. If you are someone who enjoys the focus of precision assembly work but also possesses the organizational mind of an office lead, this is the role for you.

The Hybrid Schedule

To provide the best balance of focus and presence, this role follows a structured weekly flow:

  • Monday-Wednesday (On-site, Sturbridge): Head of Administration and Office Manager duties on Monday. Focus on documentation, scheduling, vendor coordination, and high-level office management. Factory operations, including hands-on production of electronics on Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Thursday – Friday (On-site Bristol or possible remote option): Vendor coordination and administration to close out the week.

Key Responsibilities

1. Administrative Leadership (40%)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for office operations and general business inquiries.
  • Manage internal documentation, filing, and organizational systems.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain team to monitor inventory levels and parts availability, while also assisting with inventory controls/kanbans inside the factory.

2. Precision Assembly & Technical Operations (60%)

  • PCB Assembly: Perform hands-on assembly of printed circuit boards.
  • Soldering & Equipment: Operate soldering machines and hand-solder components with high precision.
  • Product Calibration: Learn the technical nuances of our power control products to perform final calibrations before shipping.
  • Supply Chain Integration: Develop a deep "parts-level" knowledge of our products to assist in identifying and sourcing critical components on the factory floor.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

The Must-Haves:

  • The "Switch" Personality: The ability to pivot seamlessly from a professional administrative mindset to a focused, hands-on manufacturing mindset.
  • Technical Dexterity: Experience with (or a strong aptitude for) electronic assembly, specifically soldering and working with small components.
  • Organizational Mastery: You don't just follow a process; you improve it. You are naturally disciplined and can manage a remote workload without supervision.
  • Geographic Flexibility: Reliable transportation and the willingness to work at both our Bristol, CT and Sturbridge, MA locations on a rotating or as-needed basis.

The Nice-to-Haves:

  • Prior experience in a small-business or "family-style" corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards or quality control processes in a factory setting.
  • Basic understanding of electronics or supply chain logistics.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Variety: No two days look the same. You get the peace of a home office and the social, fast-paced environment of a factory.
  • Ownership: As a "Head of Admin" and a key player in assembly, your impact on the final product and the company culture is direct and visible.
  • Stability: Join a stable, long-standing company where team members are treated with respect and stay for decades.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
