Overview

The Operations Analyst turns production and warehouse data into decision ready insights for Operations and Finance. The role plans work against demand, monitors inventory, and analyzes standard versus actual costs to explain variances and support forecasts. It supports month end close for labor, overhead, WIP, freight, and duties while enforcing cost and inventory controls and keeping BOMs accurate. It also defines and tracks KPIs with the Operations lead and spends time on the floor to validate data.

Manufacturing Operation Analyst Key Responsibilities:

• Compile all data (new and old) of the warehouse operation into one simple form, understandable to operation team and Finance team
• Plan warehouse work operations in accordance with Demand, shipping, receiving, and stock rotation requirements.
• Analyze and report production costs at standard and actual and provide explanations as products move through the process
• Analyze and report process efficiency, production variances including price variance
• Assist with developing daily, weekly and monthly forecasts for the warehouse operation
• Complete monthly closing activities related to manufacturing costs, Labor and Overhead absorption, Work-In-Process inventory, freight and duties ensure timeliness and accuracy of closing procedures, using data available
• Ensure process integrity within Cost/Inventory and work with team members to resolve process issues
• Using the data ensures strict compliance with relevant financial policies and procedures within the section, including the inventory and engineering store stock checks
• Assist Finance Manager, Operations and Plant Manager with the monthly close activity, including, but not limited, to financial report preparation, corporate reporting, and manufacturing variances
• Inventory level analysis
• Analyze and review bills of material to ensure accurate product cost
• Assist in budget and forecasting for operations
• Define, Understand and analyze manufacturing KPI along with Operation head
• Will be required to stand for at least an hour in the manufacturing process to observe and analyze

Manufacturing Operations Analyst Qualifications:

• Degree in engineering preferably Mechanical, Business Analytics or related field, along with good data management and analysis experience preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in manufacturing operation analyst role
• Understanding of warehouse operation, Product costing, manufacturing KPI and manufacturing overheads.
• Desirable – Experience in Manufacturing Accounting and Financial acumen

Pay: $53,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
