Operations & Hiring Coordinator (Hybrid Remote / Field – Early Morning Required)

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Operations & Hiring Coordinator to manage workforce hiring, daily crew coordination, and manpower logistics as the company continues to scale operations.
This role is critical to maintaining fully staffed crews, supporting new contract launches, and ensuring stable day-to-day field operations.
⭐ Position Overview
The Operations & Hiring Coordinator will oversee recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, attendance tracking, staffing recommendations, and workforce planning across multiple active field crews.
This is a hybrid role combining early morning coordination, remote administrative work, and periodic jobsite visits.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable communicating with field personnel, and capable of managing multiple operational priorities simultaneously.
⭐ Key ResponsibilitiesWorkforce Recruiting & Hiring
- Post job listings and maintain active hiring pipeline for driver and laborer positions
- Screen applicants and conduct phone and in-person interviews independently
- Verify reliable transportation and early reporting availability
- Verify driver licenses and perform basic background/reference checks
- Maintain organized hiring tracker and workforce database
- Recommend final hiring decisions to leadership for approval
Onboarding & Workforce Management
- Collect onboarding documentation including identification and tax forms
- Coordinate placement of new hires into training assignments on active contracts
- Conduct check-ins with new hires during their first weeks
- Track attendance, reliability, and workforce performance
- Maintain awareness of which workers are suitable for future leadership roles
Daily Crew Coordination
- Confirm daily attendance beginning approximately 6:30am
- Identify callouts, shortages, or delays and recommend staffing adjustments
- Communicate assignments, delayed start times, or standby instructions to crews
- Maintain awareness of crew equipment assignments including protection vehicles and pickups
- Provide brief daily manpower status report to leadership
Staffing Forecasting & Contingency Planning
- Prepare weekly staffing forecasts identifying potential shortages
- Maintain standby labor pipeline to support unexpected callouts
- Assist planning for weather disruptions or operational delays
Field Presence
- Visit job sites periodically to verify crew readiness and professionalism
- Reinforce company expectations and safety culture
- Identify strong workers and potential crew leaders
Customer & Operations Support (As Company Scales)
- Conduct periodic service check-ins with dumpster customers
- Assist coordination of staffing for dumpster service routes
- Identify operational or service improvement opportunities
⭐ Role Boundaries
- Compensation rates are communicated based on company-approved pay structure
- Final hiring and staffing deployment decisions require leadership approval
- Serious disciplinary or HR matters must be escalated to leadership
- Communication with government agencies or contract representatives remains handled by company leadership
⭐ Schedule
Hybrid role
- Early morning coordination required (approx. 6:30am – 9:30am)
- Midday recruiting and administrative work (flexible schedule)
- Field visits required 2–3 times per week
⭐ Requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple staffing priorities simultaneously
- Reliable transportation required
- Comfortable interacting with field crews and jobsite environments
- Experience in staffing, dispatch, logistics, construction admin, or field services preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

- $600 per week (W-2 employee position)
