Position: Operations & Supply Chain Manager
Location: Nashua, NH
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our High Speed IO Cables team located in Nashua, NH.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research, evaluate and implement new manufacturing processes and techniques to support next generation products

Identify and vet suppliers who can meet the unique quality and agility requirements of NPI environments.

Ownership of Supply Chain, Traceability, optimized cost and scalability

Lead sourcing for new product introductions to support fast design cycles and aggressive customer timelines.

Support engineering with DFM, DFT, and manufacturability feedback from the supply base.

Enables the Nashua NPI team for Rapid response & clear to build status for new and iterative design.

Ensure the necessary tools, headcount, and budget to deliver on prototype launch dates and targets.

Use data-driven insights to identify potential material risks or quality gaps before they impact the production line.

Regularly audit and refine operational workflows to eliminate bottlenecks between R&D and Manufacturing.

Develop, promote, and drive compliance to all standard operating procedures

Develop, promote, and drive implementation of new Component & Assembly Traceability.

Ensure that Nashua NPI have appropriate resources and are managed to deliver forecasted results

Deliver on targets for key performance metrics including quality, productivity, cost, and delivery

Plan and execute new product introduction and scale to full production to meet cost targets and customer quality/delivery

Drive superior customer service (on-time delivery and responsiveness)

Promote a culture of continuous improvement through the application of lean manufacturing and other appropriate tools

Plan for and recommend necessary resources to ensure success that include capital equipment, trained employees, effective infrastructure, and materials

Act as the primary interface with Design Engineering, Process Engineering, Project Management, and Customer teams

Participate in daily and weekly NPI program meetings and gate reviews

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 5-10%
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline

10 years of experience in direct operations/manufacturing management role with responsibility for leading and growing a customer-focused business

Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred

Experience with PCBA SMT and/or soldering preferred

Experience working with Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing tools, emphasis on results process improvement

Solid presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact well with customers

Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and MES systems (AX, Windchill, etc.)

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs
