Yard Operations Executive Position Title: Yard Operations Executive

Department: Operations / Yard Management

Location: Banjara layout (Horamavu)

Reporting To: Yard Manager / Operations Manager

1. Position Overview

The Parking Yard Operations Executive is responsible for the day-to-day management of vehicle flow, yard organisation, documentation, and coordination with internal & external stakeholders. The role ensures vehicles are received, parked, monitored, moved, and dispatched in a timely and safe manner while maintaining accurate records and operational efficiency.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Yard Operations Management

• Oversee inbound and outbound movement of vehicles as per schedule.
• Ensure vehicles are parked in designated zones based on category, status, or priority.
• Monitor yard capacity and optimize space utilization.
• Perform periodic yard inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and orderliness.
• Coordinate with security for vehicle gate passes, access control, and log maintenance.

B. Vehicle Handling & Monitoring

• Conduct preliminary checks of vehicles during entry and exit (e.g., VIN/chassis number, physical condition, accessories).
• Verify that each vehicle is placed in the correct slot in the yard management system (YMS).
• Monitor and record vehicle movement within the yard.
• Ensure that towing, shifting or handling is done carefully to avoid damages.

C. Documentation & System Updates

• Maintain accurate logs of inbound/outbound vehicles.
• Update yard inventory in the Yard Management System / Excel / ERP dashboard.
• Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly yard reports (occupancy, vehicle movement, pending dispatches).
• Ensure documents like GRN, delivery challans, inspection sheets, and gate passes are handled accurately.

D. Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with transporters, drivers, security, and operational supervisors.
• Coordinate with sales/admin/inspection teams for vehicle availability.
• Communicate any delays, damages, shortages, or discrepancies to concerned departments immediately.
• Support auction teams or dispatch teams by arranging vehicles as per requirement.

E. Compliance, Safety & Security

• Ensure all safety protocols related to yard operations are followed.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, and security arrangements.
• Report any unauthorized movement or safety hazards.
• Support audits and implement corrective actions.

F. Process Improvement

• Identify bottlenecks in yard operations and suggest improvements.
• Assist in implementing SOPs, 5S, digital yard mapping, and automation initiatives.
• Improve turnaround time (TAT) for vehicle movement and dispatch.

3. Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills

• Understanding of yard management, warehouse/parking operations, or vehicle logistics.
• Ability to work with YMS / ERP / Excel / Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with vehicle inspection processes (optional but preferred).
• Basic knowledge of safety and compliance.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Team player with leadership handling capability.

4. Qualifications & Experience

• Education: 12th Pass+
• Experience:
• 0–2 years in yard operations / logistics / inventory management / automobile operations preferred.
• Freshers with strong willingness to learn may be considered (based on industry).
• License: LMV license preferred (optional, based on role).
• Multiple language high preferred

5. Physical / Work Conditions

• Must be comfortable working in outdoor yard environment.
• Requires standing, walking, and supervising across the yard.
• Work hours may extend based on operational requirement.

6. KPIs / Performance Indicators

• Yard occupancy accuracy.
• Vehicle tracking accuracy (system vs physical).
• Turnaround Time (TAT) for inbound/outbound vehicle movement.
• Compliance with safety standards.
• Reduction in vehicle damage and misplacement incidents.
• Timely submission of reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
