Operations Coordinator
Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator at Ambipar Response is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects within the allotted timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Essential Job Functions
-
Manages multiple crews, supervisors, and projects, ensuring safety internal policies compliance, and adherence to local, state, and federal regulatory requirements

Communicates project updates, issues, and change orders to management, clients, and regulatory agencies
-
Oversees project budgets and allocates personnel, assets, and equipment to meet gross profit targets
-
Ensures timely professional project execution with complete and accurate documentation (I.e. proposals, work tickets, site safety plans, permits, and manifests)

Coordinates project schedules, materials, vendor engagement, and invoice approvals
-
Verifies employee time, ensuring billable hours align with job numbers, and oversees accurate completion of field documentation

Supports Base Manager with logistics, operations, and safety compliance
-
Assists in revenue forecasting, P&L management, and identifying process improvements
-
Ensures readiness of personnel and equipment; manages subcontractors and enforces safety and incident reporting procedures

Reports any incidents (I.e. injuries, accidents, property damage, DOT Roadside Inspection, and/or DOT Citations) promptly to Base Mgr, Regional Ops Mgr, & Regional VP immediately (or as soon as you are safely able to do)

Maintains and updates training and compliance documentation

Supports business development through client engagement and up-selling services

Serves as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle

Prepares project proposals, reports, and invoices; manages subcontractor/vendor billing

Develops site-specific health & safety plans, work plans, project permits (CSE, Excavation, LOTO, etc.), manifests, and BOL’s
-
Attends site walks/visits, meetings, and lunch-and-learns
-
Mobilizes for emergency responses (i.e. spills, chemical events, site remediation, waste management) as needed,

Ensures contracts are in place prior to mobilizing personnel for an emergency response
-
Minimizes project costs for overhead and billable items, obtains approvals for purchases, and ensures additional work is authorized via change order
-
Operates and maintains heavy equipment (e.g., track hoe, backhoe, skid steer) and company vehicles per company policy

Builds strong employee and client relations through effective leadership, training, and service delivery

Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of relevant experience.

Minimum 2 years’ experience of supervision in the field of relevant experience
-
Knowledge of EPA, OSHA and local hazardous materials policies and procedures
-
Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing to ensure clear instructions and documentation
-
Experience with business process reviews and improvements
-
Experience presenting information to an array of audiences
-
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
-
Ability to analyze, summarize, and compile data and information
-
Ability to perform detail-oriented work
-
Proven ability to direct the work of staff from a variety of backgrounds and skill sets, and to manage a team to improve processes or systems
-
Excellent oral and written communication techniques, including in response to requests either internally or externally

Strong prioritization and time-management skills to balance ongoing responsibilities with urgent requests

Ability to travel within region, out of state, and out of country

This position may require extended periods of travel, working in inclement weather, and working extended hours, weekends, and/or holidays
Preferred Job Requirements

Work Schedule/Work Environment

The standard working hours are 7 AM – 4 PM. This candidate should be willing and available to work overtime as needed to meet project demands and deadlines, including extended hours, overtime, various shifts including nights and weekends and holidays when necessary.

This position may require extended periods of travel and working in inclement weather.

Must be able to stand and work on feet for 8–12 hour shifts.

Must be able to sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, reach, crawl, and kneel.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 10 feet.

Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.

Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights.

Must be able to work in confined spaces.

Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sounds by ear.

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.

Jobs are frequently completed outside and if needed, in inclement weather conditions.

Perform work in confined spaces, heights, and/or in water.

Ability to wear APR’s SCBA’s, supplied air, and various levels of protective suits, and Personal Projective Equipment as required in accordance with company standards and procedures.

May be exposed to non-hazardous and hazardous material.

Some aspects of the clean-up work may generate a significant amount of static electricity.

Work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures.
