REQUIREMENTS

A. Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, human resources, accounting, or a related field preferred.

B. Experience Desired: 1–2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in program coordination, human resources, customer service, accounting, bookkeeping, finance, and Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.

C. Other Requirements: Organized, self-starting, independent systems thinker. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in working with technology, and a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders. Regular, dependable attendance is an essential function of this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Scholarships Program (Primary Role)

  • Play a central role in supporting and coordinating scholarship and award programs, including activities related to applications, records, communications, and disbursements
  • Maintain scholarship-related documentation and correspondence with stakeholders including applicants, recipients, and committee members
  • Support scholarship committee meeting preparation, attendance, and follow-up
  • Contribute to ongoing evaluation and improvement of scholarship processes in partnership with leadership

Human Resources

  • Support HR-related operations including activities associated with the employee lifecycle, recordkeeping, and policy administration
  • Assist with coordination of benefits, scheduling, and general staff support needs

Financial Operations

  • Assist with bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping in collaboration with the accounting firm (HBE)
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, donations, and transactions in Bill.com and Raiser's Edge

General Operations Support

  • Provide broad operational support to the Director of Operations and the wider team across a variety of administrative and coordination functions
  • Assist with committee and board meeting preparation, documentation, and minute-taking
  • Respond to incoming calls and inquiries with a high degree of customer service
  • Support scheduling, office administration, and other day-to-day operational needs
  • Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Vary rare evening and weekend work is required.

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person, hybrid/remote option up to two days a week!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
