The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting efficient transportation operations by planning and dispatching drivers, ensuring the accuracy of payroll files, handling essential paperwork, and providing responsive customer service. This position balances attention to detail, effective communication, and multitasking to maintain smooth logistics and payroll processes.
The shift is Sunday- Thursday 7a-5p.
Key Responsibilities
Answer incoming phone calls, provide information, and route inquiries as appropriate.
Plan and dispatch drivers for trips, optimizing schedules according to business requirements and fleet availability.
Review and update workflow systems to maintain accurate data and process documentation, ensuring seamless operations.
Review payroll files for errors and omissions, verifying the accuracy and completeness of payroll data before processing.
Print and distribute shipping paperwork to drivers and warehouse staff to coordinate shipment departures.
Respond to customer requests for track and trace, providing timely updates on shipment status and resolving delivery issues
Required Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent
1-2 years’ transportation experience helpful
Strong Excel skills are helpful
Ability to prioritize, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service focused, with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
Experience in payroll processing or review and transportation or logistics coordination preferred.
Strong problem solving, organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
