Operations/ customs clearence Executive

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and submit customs documentation through Mirsal 2 (Dubai Trade) and Abu Dhabi Customs systems.
  • Coordinate with Abu Dhabi Customs for import/export clearance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE customs laws and regulations.
  • Handle duty exemptions, HS code classification, and valuation processes.
  • Arrange inspection appointments and resolve customs-related issues.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters for shipment movement.
  • Track shipments and update clients on clearance and delivery status.
  • Arrange delivery orders and gate passes.
  • Liaise with ports such as Khalifa Port and airport cargo terminals for cargo release.
  • Manage documentation including Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.
  • Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and required documents.
  • Resolve clearance delays and discrepancies.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with customs officials and transport vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records of clearance documents.
  • Prepare daily/weekly shipment reports.
  • Ensure adherence to company SOPs and UAE trade compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in customs clearance or freight forwarding in UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations and HS code classification.
  • Experience with customs systems such as Mirsal 2 and Abu Dhabi Customs portal.
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
