Urgent requirement for Operations Director – Oilfield Equipment & API Compliance - API Q1, API 6A, API 16A is required for our client in Dubai ,UAE

  • Minimum 10 years in petroleum operations or oilfield equipment manufacturing/service industry experience is MUST to apply for this role
  • Strong exp on API Standards API Q1, API 6A, API 16A (implementation, audits, certifications) is MUST to apply for this role
  • Strong experience on operations for wellheads, BOPs, Xmas trees, valves & manifolds is MUST to apply for this role
  • MUST experience Global- Singapore, UK, USA/Europe, plus exposure to APAC, Africa, MENA, etc is MUST to apply for this role
  • Strong experience in QMS & ISO 9001 implementation is MUST to Apply for this role

Operations Director to lead end-to-end operations across engineering, production, supply chain, quality, and HSE for our oilfield equipment business. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in pressure control and pressure-containing equipment, extensive knowledge of API standards, and proven leadership experience working across multiple global regions, including Singapore, UK, USA/Europe, APAC, Africa, and MENA.

Key Responsibilities

  • API Compliance & Quality Management
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with API Spec Q1 and ISO 9001.
  • Ensure all manufacturing, repair, and testing activities for wellheads, Christmas trees, and BOP equipment comply with API 6A and API 16A, including Product Specification Levels (PSL).
  • Lead and coordinate third-party statutory audits, customer audits, and internal inspections to maintain certifications.
  • Operational Leadership
  • Direct and control daily operations across engineering, production, supply chain, and quality departments.
  • Drive operational excellence, cost optimization, efficiency improvements, and process discipline.
  • Implement and enforce Service Quality Plans (SQP) to ensure timely, reliable, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Technical & Engineering Oversight
  • Provide expert technical guidance on the design, manufacturing, assembly, and validation of pressure control equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment procurement complies with company, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Review client specifications, engineering drawings, and technical documents for feasibility and compliance.
  • Strategic Planning & Business Support
  • Support business development teams with operational inputs for bids, tenders, proposals, and new market opportunities.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and cross-functional integration strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lead operational planning aligned with the company’s strategic roadmap.
  • HSE & Risk Management
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and internal QA standards.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate major operational and production-related risks.

Experience (Mandatory)

  • Minimum 10 years in petroleum operations or oilfield equipment manufacturing/service industry.
  • At least 8 years in a senior leadership/executive role managing large-scale operations.
  • Proven experience with pressure-containing and pressure-control equipment (wellheads, BOPs, valves, manifolds).
  • Hands-on experience managing API Spec Q1, API 6A, and API 16A certifications and QMS systems.
  • Mandatory international exposure: Demonstrated work experience in Singapore, UK, USA or Europe, as well as across APAC, Africa, and MENA regions.
