Operations Executive - Air Freight

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complete air import and export shipment cycle.
• Coordinate bookings with airlines and overseas agents.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents (AWB, HAWB, MAWB, commercial invoice, packing list).
• Monitor shipment status and ensure timely departures and arrivals.
• Arrange cargo pickup and delivery with transporters.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Customs regulations and other UAE authorities.
• Process documentation through platforms like Dubai Trade (if applicable).
• Verify HS codes and ensure correct customs declaration.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and billing documents.
• Communicate shipment updates to customers proactively.
• Handle customer queries, claims, and shipment discrepancies.
• Ensure high service quality and client retention.
• Liaise with airlines, GHA (Ground Handling Agents), and warehouse teams.
• Coordinate with overseas agents for smooth cargo movement.
• Work closely with sales and finance departments for billing and credit approvals.
• Verify freight costs and supplier invoices.
• Prepare customer invoices and ensure timely billing.
• Maintain shipment profitability and cost efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in air freight operations in UAE.
• Knowledge of UAE customs procedures and documentation.
• Familiarity with CargoWise or similar freight software (preferred).
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
