Operations Executive - sea/ air Freight

Job Description

• Handle end-to-end import and export operations for sea and air shipments
• Coordinate bookings with airlines, shipping lines, and overseas agents
• Prepare and verify shipping documents
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies
• Coordinate with customs clearance teams and ensure documentation compliance
• Ensure adherence to UAE customs regulations, trade compliance, and company SOPs
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment updates
• Liaise with transporters, warehouses, airlines, shipping lines, and agents
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and service recovery professionally
• Negotiate rates with carriers and vendors where applicable
• Monitor operational costs and ensure profitability of shipments
• Maintain accurate operational records and MIS reports
• Update shipment details in freight management systems
• Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and shipment summaries
• Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting

Requirements & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in sea and air freight operations (UAE experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight processes
• Familiarity with UAE customs procedures
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in MS Office and freight management systems
