Operations Head - Travel

We are looking for an experienced professional who can oversee, manage, and scale the entire travel operations department at Metanoia Expeditions. This role requires someone with strong travel industry experience, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple teams while ensuring seamless execution of trips across the globe.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the entire travel operations department at Metanoia.

• Lead and supervise all teams: on-ground operations, visa team, booking & reservations, logistics, and ticketing.

• Take complete ownership of all operations - planning, execution, and post-trip processes.

• Handle contracting with hotels, DMCs, local suppliers, transport vendors, etc.

• Oversee accommodation bookings, transport, activities, and all on-ground logistics.

• Coordinate closely with the sales team, trip leaders & external suppliers for smooth operations.

• Follow up with hotels for contract renewals, new contracts, rate negotiations, and special requests.

• Setup new SOP’s and establish an efficient workflow process.

• Identify key destinations/markets and develop new itineraries suitable for our client base.

• Ensure high service standards, quick problem resolution, and seamless customer experience during trips.

Requirement:

• Must be willing to relocate to Jaipur for a full-time on-site role.

• Graduate/post-graduate with minimum 4-5 years of experience in the travel industry.

• Prior experience in international travel operations is a must.

• Knowledge of ticketing and visa processes.

• Strong network with DMCs and international suppliers.

• Strong knowledge of management tools like Google sheets & Airtable

• Experience managing and scaling teams.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Passion for travel and willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
