Operations In-Charge

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management

• Supervise daily laboratory workflow and case distribution.
• Ensure cases are processed according to dentist prescriptions.
• Coordinate between departments (CAD/CAM, ceramics, model room, finishing, etc.).
• Can do night shift
• Monitor production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.

2. Team Supervision

• Manage dental technicians and support staff.
• Assign tasks based on technician specialization.

3. Quality Control

• Ensure prosthetics meet laboratory and dentist quality standards.
• Check final restorations before dispatch.
• Implement quality assurance procedures.

4. Client Coordination

• Communicate with dental clinics regarding case requirements, adjustments, or remakes.
• Ensure accurate case documentation and prescriptions.

5. Inventory & Materials Management

• Monitor dental materials such as zirconia blocks, ceramics, acrylics, implants, and alloys.
• Coordinate ordering of supplies.
• Ensure proper storage and usage of materials.

6. Equipment Management

• Oversee maintenance of laboratory equipment (CAD/CAM machines, milling units, furnaces, scanners).
• Coordinate repairs and servicing when necessary.

7. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with health regulations and lab safety standards.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols.

8. Reporting

• Prepare operational reports for management.
• Track production metrics, remakes, and turnaround time.

2. Qualifications

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Dental Technology, Dental Laboratory Technology, or related field.

Technical Knowledge

• Crowns and bridges
• Implants
• Orthodontic appliances
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM dental technology systems.

Skills

• Leadership and team management

Preferred Skills

• Experience with dental design software (Exocad, 3Shape).
• Knowledge of dental lab management systems.
• Basic budgeting and cost control.
