Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management
- Supervise daily laboratory workflow and case distribution.
- Ensure cases are processed according to dentist prescriptions.
- Coordinate between departments (CAD/CAM, ceramics, model room, finishing, etc.).
- Can do night shift
- Monitor production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
2. Team Supervision
- Manage dental technicians and support staff.
- Assign tasks based on technician specialization.
3. Quality Control
- Ensure prosthetics meet laboratory and dentist quality standards.
- Check final restorations before dispatch.
- Implement quality assurance procedures.
4. Client Coordination
- Communicate with dental clinics regarding case requirements, adjustments, or remakes.
- Ensure accurate case documentation and prescriptions.
5. Inventory & Materials Management
- Monitor dental materials such as zirconia blocks, ceramics, acrylics, implants, and alloys.
- Coordinate ordering of supplies.
- Ensure proper storage and usage of materials.
6. Equipment Management
- Oversee maintenance of laboratory equipment (CAD/CAM machines, milling units, furnaces, scanners).
- Coordinate repairs and servicing when necessary.
7. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and lab safety standards.
- Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols.
8. Reporting
- Prepare operational reports for management.
- Track production metrics, remakes, and turnaround time.
2. Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Dental Technology, Dental Laboratory Technology, or related field.
Technical Knowledge
- Crowns and bridges
- Implants
- Orthodontic appliances
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM dental technology systems.
