Hands-On IT Experience in a High-Impact Environment

Position Summary

Sabel Systems Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking a Summer Operations IT Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting IT operations and enterprise systems in a government contracting (GovCon) environment. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity.

This is a paid, full-time (40 hours/week),10-week summer internship, with participation available between May 18, 2026, and September 11, 2026, following a hybrid schedule (1–3 days onsite) in Beavercreek, OH.

Work You’ll Do

  • Research and coordinate with vendors to establish a hardware recycling program for end-of-life (EOL) equipment, including identifying companies that can securely pick up and process retired assets
  • Assist the engineering and architecture teams by supporting internal support desk tickets and troubleshooting requests
  • Support the review, cleanup, and organization of device management policies within Microsoft Intune
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of the ServiceNow service desk platform
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles
  • Support security hardening initiatives and complete related tasks as assigned by the IT and security teams
  • Cleanup of non-compliant devices within Microsoft Intune
  • Support ongoing efforts to improve our Microsoft Secure Score by identifying security recommendations, implementing best‑practice configurations, and helping strengthen our overall Microsoft 365 security posture.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, entering your junior or senior year
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Foundational knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, and networking concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to follow procedures, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Exposure to Microsoft Intune device management and policy configuration
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
  • Exposure to IT service management or ticketing systems, Microsoft 365, or endpoint management platforms
  • Interest in developing skills in cloud administration, endpoint management, and enterprise IT systems

Compensation

This is a paid, temporary, Summer Internship compensated at $25.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and current level of education. Internship participation does not guarantee future employment; however, high-performing interns may be considered for upcoming opportunities based on business needs, performance, and available roles.
