About Us
Quilters Dream Batting is a leading U.S. distributor of high‑quality quilting batting products. We are looking for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Operations Leader to support daily production, logistics, and administrative operations at our Virginia Beach facility.
What You’ll Do
Order Processing & Customer Support
- Manage incoming email orders; respond using provided templates.
- Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
- Print and email prior‑day invoices once UPS tracking numbers are entered.
Shipping & Large Order Management
- Verify pallet/box counts and ensure order accuracy.
- Record pallet dimensions and weights.
- Schedule pickups based on customer preferences.
- Complete necessary shipping paperwork (SLI, BOL, etc.).
- Match BOLs with invoices after shipment is picked up.
Production & Warehouse Support
- Assist with processing sales orders, invoices, shipping labels, and documentation.
- Print and reconcile backorders; ensure no duplicates.
- Create roll lists for production based on open sales orders.
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine cutter maintenance (cleaning, cord replacement, rewiring, blade changes).
- Log maintenance activity and ensure safety standards (no taped cords).
- Coordinate advanced repairs with external technician when needed.
Daily & Monthly Production Tracking
- Enter daily production into Syspro (Backflush).
- Report daily batting counts and bonus‑tracking information.
Purchasing & Vendor Coordination
- Place purchase orders for master rolls, folded rolls, cores, and inserts.
- Coordinate unloading crews with Allied Forces and manage tip reimbursements.
Returns & Sample Requests
- Process returns/call tags: verify invoices and issue credits/adjustments.
- Track sample and door prize requests and submit to warehouse.
Inventory Management
- Lead month‑end inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Ensure uninvoiced or large orders are reflected accurately.
- Enter counts into required spreadsheets and systems.
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct annual OSHA meeting and fire drill.
- Maintain safety documentation and ensure equipment compliance.
- Keep facility free of electrical hazards, trip hazards, and obstructed exits.
- Ensure all required federal and Virginia labor law notices are posted.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years operations, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics experience.
- Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills.
- Comfortable performing basic mechanical tasks.
- Experience with ERP systems (Syspro a plus).
- Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to lift materials and work on the warehouse floor as needed.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
