Operations Manager – Multi-Store Leadership & Staff Development | 6+ Years Experience

Omaha, NE (occasional travel to Lincoln, NE)

42 Degrees is looking for a dynamic retail leader to join our team as Operations Manager. This role is heavily focused on developing our staff, mentoring Store Managers, and creating growth opportunities, while also overseeing operations across multiple locations. As part of this role, a company vehicle will be provided.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide oversight, leadership, and operational discipline across multiple 42 Degrees retail stores.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Store Managers, Assistant Managers, and Sales Associates to maximize performance and prepare them for future leadership opportunities.
  • Drive sales, customer service excellence, and execution of merchandising and promotional plans.
  • Visit stores regularly (minimum twice weekly), conduct audits, and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Lead weekly Store Manager meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all locations.
  • Partner closely with Buying, Warehouse, and Product Management teams to ensure efficient product flow, prevent out-of-stock situations, and maximize inventory performance.
  • Ensure stores are clean, well-stocked, and consistently customer-ready.
  • Recruit, hire, and support career development within the operations team.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and manage business planning processes, ensuring each store achieves its KPIs.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years retail management experience (multi-unit preferred).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and staff-development skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in sales, operations, and financial performance.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable with flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Passionate about mentoring, training, and building strong teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (company vehicle provided).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
