Job Title: Operations Manager

Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production, quality assurance, supply chain management, and timely delivery of furniture products. The role involves optimizing processes, managing teams across production, procurement, logistics, and maintenance, and ensuring adherence to cost, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Production & Planning
* Oversee the entire furniture manufacturing process from raw material procurement to finished goods dispatch.
* Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer orders and delivery timelines.
* Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.
* Coordinate with design and R&D teams for new product rollouts and prototypes.
2. Process Improvement & Quality Control
* Implement lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
* Monitor quality standards at every stage of production.
* Identify and resolve bottlenecks in operations to improve productivity and reduce wastage.
* Maintain compliance with ISO / industry quality certifications.
3. Supply Chain & Inventory Management
* Oversee procurement of raw materials, hardware, fittings, and packaging.
* Maintain inventory control systems to ensure availability without overstocking.
* Liaise with vendors and logistics partners for timely delivery of supplies and shipments.
4. Team Management
* Lead, train, and supervise production supervisors, store managers, dispatch teams, and other operational staff.
* Monitor performance and ensure adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
* Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
5. Cost & Budget Control
* Prepare and monitor operational budgets and cost-control measures.
* Analyze production costs, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
* Support management in pricing decisions with operational cost insights.
6. Health, Safety & Compliance
* Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Maintain factory hygiene, machinery safety, and employee welfare standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
* 8–10 years of experience in operations or production management, preferably in furniture, or manufacturing industries.
* Strong understanding of material handling, and finishing techniques.
* Experience with ERP systems, lean manufacturing, and quality control systems.
