What we are looking for at QPSI?

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Operations Manager to lead daily operations within our contract packaging and manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical, and process improvement skills to ensure that production performance meets or exceeds targets for quality, service, cost, compliance, and safety. The Operations Manager plays a vital role in driving lean manufacturing practices, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring operational excellence through effective leadership, communication, and continuous improvement. What our Operations Manager will be accountable for at QPSI?

  • Lead all aspects of site operations to achieve performance goals in quality, service, cost, compliance, and safety.
  • Oversee production planning, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency to ensure on-time delivery and operational excellence.
  • Manage budgets and operating costs, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability, productivity, and process efficiency.
  • Partner with Sales and cross-functional teams to support accurate cost estimating, evaluate equipment or automation needs, and align operations with customer requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, cGMP, and best practice methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards while promoting a culture of accountability and integrity.
  • Build, train, and develop a high-performing operations team that fosters innovation, engagement, and growth.
  • Cultivate productive relationships with customers, vendors, and internal partners to strengthen service and business alignment.
  • Maintain sound fiscal and operational control, ensuring consistent and compliant execution of company policies and initiatives.

What Qualified Candidates for the Operations Manager role must have to be successful at QPSI?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in production management and supply chain operations, preferably in a manufacturing/packaging environment.
  • Strong manufacturing acumen and advanced interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record in implementing Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen; demonstrated ability to leverage financial reports for operational decisions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is essential
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality and company values.
  • Proficiency in PC applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Axcess; ERP experience preferred.
